Falkensteiner opens first tourist facility in Slovenia - Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blagus

Falkensteiner is an Austrian company that owns 30 hotels in Austria, Italy, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Serbia. In recent years, they have also added three campsites in Croatia and will open their first campsite in Slovenia in mid-May. It is the Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blagus, near Sveti Juri on the Ščavnica River in Prlekija.

Falkensteiner is one of the largest tourism companies in the region, with a number of hotels. Most of them are in Austria and Italy, where their Kastchberg and Kronplatz locations are well known. In Croatia, they have hotels in Zadar and Punat on the island of Krk.

They also operate three campsites in Croatia - the excellent Falkensteiner Premium Camping Zadar, which is categorised as a five-star campsite for its facilities and offer, and two campsites in Punat on the island of Krk - Camping Pila and FKK Camping Konobe.

Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blaguš is their first tourist facility in Slovenia, which is expected to open its doors in mid-May and will be open from April to October every year thereafter.

A small glamping site has been operating at this location next to Lake Blagus for the last few years, and camping pitches will be newly developed, and mobile homes will be available for rent.

It is a very peaceful location in the middle of a beautiful natural environment, which will offer visitors the comfort of newly developed camping pitches and mobile homes for 2, 4 or 6 people.

In summer, Lake Blagus offers swimming, canoeing, SUP boards, or you can just enjoy the lake's well maintained piers. The location of the campsite offers many opportunities for walking and cycling in the surroundings (bike rental on site), and there is also an equestrian centre nearby.

47 pitches for camping

The Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blaguš will have completely new pitches right next to the lake. All will have electricity, water and drainage, and the pitches will initially be in a sunny area, but trees will be planted so that there will be more shade in the coming years.

Slightly more special will be the 13 Maxi pitches with a wooden house, where a double bedroom will be added.

There will also be two modern sanitary facilities for guests, including family bathrooms, and a caravan storage area.

Modern houses for couples and families

Several types of chalets will be available at the Falkensteiner Premium Camping Lake Blaguš. The romantic cottages for couples will be set up in the shade of the trees and have a bedroom and a small terrace, but as they do not have toilets, these are shared in the immediate vicinity of the cottages. Some of the cottages will also have a small house with a double bed, especially for children.

The Comfort family mobile homes will be completely new, but like the real mobile homes they will have two bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom and a terrace.​

As dogs are welcome at the campsite, they will be allowed in all the chalets.

Wellness facilities, restaurant, animation

The campsite will have a chalet with a sauna, a lakeside restaurant with a spacious terrace where camp guests and external guests can enjoy delicious local dishes, and a guest house offering breakfast, lunch and dinner for camp guests.

In addition, there will be a small café next to the lake.

As Falkensteiner locations are known for their animation, this campsite will also make sure that children will not be bored during their holidays. They will organise sports activities, creative workshops and children's parties in the evenings.

The Avtokampi Camping Card has been joined by a new campsite that will offer camping at a special special price on certain dates:

> 20 € on a Silver pitch or 21 € on a Standard pitch for 2 people, a dog and a pitch with electricity in the periods 2.6. - 30.6. & 15.9. - 31.10. Additional persons are charged according to the campsite's price list, and the tourist tax is also payable.
